Notes | This Italian wine glass has been free blown, where air blown down a metal tube that had a blob of glass at its end to create a bubble. This bubble of glass would then have been manipulated using a variety of tools to create the elegant shape. The glass is hollow through to the bottom of the funnel stem. | | Purchased from the VandA, with monies from the Industrial Art Museum Fund, 1872. |
