This Italian wine glass has been free blown, where air blown down a metal tube that had a blob of glass at its end to create a bubble. This bubble of glass would then have been manipulated using a variety of tools to create the elegant shape. The glass is hollow through to the bottom of the funnel stem.

Purchased from the VandA, with monies from the Industrial Art Museum Fund, 1872.
