Notes | A study for the sixth painting in the series of seven canvases illustrating 'The Story of St George' for the dining room of the artist Myles Birket Foster, at Witley, Surrey.
One of fifteen studies for this subject in Birmingham's collection.
The final painting is now in the collection of the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney. A gouache version, omitting the Princess, is owned by William Morris Museum, Walthamstow.
