One of eleven tracings in Birmingham's collection for 'The Story of Cupid and Psyche' made to accompany the poem in William Morris' 'The Earthly Paradise'.

This study is of the musicians that perform for Psyche whilst she dines alone in Cupid's palace. For a complete compositional sketch, see numbers 18 and 19 in the sketchbook, 1927P648.
