Notes

This gold signet ring is engraved with a leopard's head holding a ring. The inscription 'sans de partier' translates as 'without distributing', this means 'all my love is yours' (without distributing it to others) and was used on love tokens in the 15th century.

Bequeathed by Thomas George Barnett, 1935.
