Notes | Eyebright was originally designed by Morris as a cotton dress fabric, registered on the 23 November 1883. It had a repeat design of less than six inches and proved practical, in the sense of being washable, as well as being in tune with the so called Aesthetic revival. | | Purchased from Morris & Co through Friends of Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, 1940 |
