Notes

During 1874-87 the Brassey family embarked on a series of vogages on their steam yacht the Sunbeam. Whilst on the Sunbeam Lady Annie Brassey wrote accounts of her travels and collected souvenirs from around the world, such as this Chibcha figure. The Chibcha were an indigenous Colombian people.

Collected by Lady Brassey on the voyages of the yacht Sunbeam. Purchased, 1958.
