Basic Information

Accession Number:1965T3374
Collection:Social History - Pinto Collection
Date:1800 - 1900

Notes

Wooden cups and saucers are unusual objects and it is rare to find such a finely turned piece as this pear wood example. It was probably made in England during the 19th century. It would have been made as a virtuoso piece, to show off the considerable skill of the turner, rather than as a functional item.

Purchased from Edward H Pinto, 1965.
