Maker Information | Notes | The brass hinge on this spectacle case is dated 1726. The walnut case is carved with hunting and rural scenes on both sides and has been worn smooth through use. Inside the case is roughly gouged to accommodate a pair of round 'pince nez' spectacles. It is probably Dutch. | | Purchased from Edward H Pinto, 1965. |
