Deborah Fladgate (b.1957) completed a BA (Hons) Ceramics (1975-79) at the West Surrey College of Art and Design, followed by a MA Glass at the Royal College of Art, London (1980-82). On leaving the West Surrey College of Art and Design she worked at Cowdy Glass Workshop, Newent, Gloucestershire, and with Anthony Stern at his studio in in Battersea, London. She has lectured at Buckingshire College, West Surrey College of Art and Design, the Royal College and Sunderland Polytechnic. Fladgate's glass is free blown and ranges from tableware to individual pieces. This vase was purchased from Deborah Fladgate, by Dairy Crest for use in their calendar.
