Notes | This glazed earthenware doll's tea set was bought as a Christmas present for Shirley Haywood of Erdington in 1937. It is decorated with a series of 6 transfer- printed illustrations of children at play. Its solid construction is typical of the 1930s move towards a more functional approach to children's toys. | |
