Notes

Sutton Taylor discovered a lustre technique by chance in the mid 1970s and has continued to explore and refine it throughout his career. He says 'The work comes from an inner compulsion. The pots are already there waiting to come along, sometimes triggered by naturally occurring phenomena, sometimes relying on a battery of images stored and collected over the years ... It comes from within and is a mystery to me'.

On loan from The Keatley Trust.
