Dull weather.3rd August 1934 I went to Castle Bromwich but it was generally dull, and there were lots of showers, a long one in the aft. Had some interesting chats with a A A ... and an old roadman who told me lots of things about old Castle Bromwich and the buildings that I was sketching. I also had some conversation with an old William maimed as a result of a ... accident when he was 19 years old.' Extracts from Lockwood diaries.
