Notes

This view of St Martin's Church from Digbeth is one of several by George Warren Blackham of the Digbeth and Deritend areas of Birmingham. In this case, the spire of old St Martin's Church is visible above the rooftops. In the foreground of the picture, herds of sheep and cattle are being driven through the street, presumably from one of the town's livestock markets.

Presented by Leonard H Brierley.
