Notes | This watercolour is one of twenty-two drawings by Elizabeth Jane Hasluck, dated between 1889 and 1890 and contained in a bound volume, many of which depict the Austins in Handsworth, the family home of the Haslucks at the time.There are two similar volumes of artwork by Elizabeth Jane Hasluck in the collections, one of which was presented to her son Ernest, one to Daniel Sidney Hasluck, another family member.The Austins was sold to Sandwell Park Colliery around the end of the nineteenth century, and was demolished around 1930.
