Notes | Ewen Henderson made several versions of this basic vessel form. The tea bowl is an important element of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Bowl's with humble origins, subdued colour, uneven texture and irregular form are favoured. There are parallels with Henderson's exploitation of chance effect, asymmetry and textured surfaces. | | On loan from The Keatley Trust. |
