Ceramicist:Mo Jupp - View biography for Mo Jupp

Notes

This is one of a series of helmets made whilst Mo Jupp was living close to Brands Hatch. 'One race day, reckoning that if he had to put up with the noise of the cars practising, the least the circuit owed him was free admission to the racing. Mo shinned over the fence and sneaked past the stewards for a view of the race. Nearing the top of a rise between him and the track, he peered over the top to be confronted with the mind boggling sight of a long, low mass of shuddering, roaring machinery, with a helmeted head shaking about in the centre of it'.

On loan from The Keatley Trust.
