Notes | Plaques like this were sent to the next of kin of all the British men who were killed in World War I (1914-1918). This one commemorates James Cox and was given to the Museum and Art Gallery by his brother's widow in 1986. It is unusual because the original paperwork survives, including the card wrapper and a letter from King George V. | | Presented by the widow of the brother of James Cox, 1986. |
