Biography for Bernard Meadows
EducationBernard Meadows studied at the City's School of Art from 1934-6 and then at Chelsea School of Art from 1936-7. During this time he was also studio assistant to the renowned sculptor Henry Moore (1898-1986). EmploymentMeadows went on to study at the Royal College of Art from 1938-40 and from 1946-8, serving in the RAF during the intervening years. He was an influential teacher at the Chelsea School of Art from 1948-60 before moving to the Royal College of Art where he was Professor of Sculpture for many years. He lived in London.
