Biography for Edgar SimpsonEmploymentArts & Crafts jeweller, whose workshop was based in Nottingham. His mark was registered at the Birmingham Assay Office. An album of his designs held by the Metropolitan Museum, New York, reveals his debt to C. R. Ashbee (1863-1942) and the Guild of Handicraft at Chipping Camden. Simpson was also aware of the prevailing Art Nouveau style and designed pieces for commercial manufacturers such as Charles Horner of Chester.
