Biography for John Creed

Education

Liverpool College of Art, Diploma in Design 1955-59; University of Liverpool, Teacher Training, 1961-62.

Employment

Designer and craftsman in metals. Creed established his first workshop in 1962, teaching part-time until 1995 when he went in full-time practice as a craftsman. He works in a mixture of precious, ferrous and non-ferrous metals. He has exhibited in Britain and New York. He has work in the collections of the National Museums of Scotland, Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery and the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
