EmploymentRicci was a painter and etcher, who was the nephew and pupil of Sebastiano Ricci (1659-1734). He began his career working in Rome, where he became renowned for his landscapes, but in 1710 moved to England where he met with similar success and great popularity. His celebrity in England can be gauged by the large number of works by Ricci which still remain in the country, and one of the biggest collections of his works is that of H.M. the Queen in the Royal Library at Windsor.
