Biography for William Scott
EducationHe studied at Belfast College of Art 1928-30, at the Royal Academy Sculpture School, London 1931-33 and at the Royal Academy Painting School, London 1934-35. TravelsHe travelled to Italy from 1937-38, moved to Pont Aven, Brittany, France in 1938 and lived in St Tropez in 1939. EmploymentScott returned to Pont Aven at the outbreak of war in 1939 before returning to Dublin and he was a volunteer soldier with the Royal Engineers 1942-46.
