Notes | This German beaker has been free blown, air was blown down a metal tube that had a blob of glass at its end to create a bubble. This bubble of glass would then have been then manipulated using a variety of tools to create the cylindrical shape. The details of the painted decoration on this beaker would have been scratched out with a needle. | | Purchased from the VandA, with monies from the Industrial Art Museum Fund, 1872. |
