Notes | The base of this flower basket, was free blown, where air is blown down a metal tube that has a blob of glass at its end to create a bubble. This bubble of glass was then manipulated using a variety of tools to create the desired shape. The top section of the basket was made by trailing molten glass to form an open work trellis effect. | | Purchased, Barnes & Co, 1870. |
