Mourning, or memento mori, rings were often bequeathed in wills to close friends and family to be worn at the funeral and as a reminder to the wearer of the departed.This ring has been decorated with hairwork made from the hair of the deceased.

Bequeathed by Mrs Christina Feeney, 1928.
