Notes | This pottery cooking pot was excavated from a site in Jerusalem in the 1960s. It is wheel-turned, with a globular body and slightly flattened base. The neck flares slightly to the rim, and two opposing handles are attached from the rim to the upper body of the pot.Cooking pots of this type were commonly used in the Jerusalem region. Complete but for four small holes in the body of the pot, it is one of several excavated objects presented to the Museum & Art Gallery by the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem in 1967. | | Presented by the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem, 1967. |
