Notes | Gordon Baldwin trained at the Central School of Art, London in the 1950’s. During the late 1970’s Baldwin was exploring the sculptural possibilities of the bowl form. This is combined with a painterly interest in surface treatment, using restrained colour with abstract painted and incised marks. He is also an influential teacher, who has taught many of the key figures in British ceramics. | | Presented by West Midlands Arts. |
