Notes | From a collection of artwork produced by Lockwood for V Siviter Smith & Co Ltd.Sunday 19th September 1959’Arthur and I went to Moseley – he looked round the bookshop while I continued my sketch of Moseley church – A disastrous afternoon for me as I sketched my briefcase containing my sketchbook, a drawing of Moseley was stolen practically under my nose. One minute it was there – the next it had gone. I feel very upset at this loss but it and my sketchbook had only a few pages filled. I reported the loss to the police’. An extract from the diaries of Frank Lockwood Taylor. | | Presented by Arthur Lockwood and Jean Barnsby. |
