Notes

Simone ten Hempel is a German born artist, who considers ‘metal to be her first language’. According to Simone ‘objects are there to be used’ however she uses her work to explore many themes including the translation of childhood and photographic memories. This bowl and two other pieces combine to form a ‘landscape in three parts’. Simone contrasts silver and cream felt in order to explore objects of differing character enhancing both the visual and tactile experience of her work.
