Notes | William Phipps was originally an apprentice to a church silversmith, later becoming self employed with a workshop on Clerkenwell Road, London. Phipps has taught part-time at the Christopher Wren School and Camberwell College of Art, London and is a member of the Art Worker’s Guild. This large silver spoon exemplifies Phipps’ expertise in hot forged cutlery, and raised silver hollowware. | | Contemporary Art Society Special Collection Scheme |
