Notes | The glove puppet version of Judy replaced the marionette or hand puppet in the early 19th century. This English, pine, polychrome character comes from a set made after 1860. She is wearing the traditional Georgian mob cap and her facial features are carved to mirror those of her husband, Punch. | | Purchased from Edward H Pinto, 1965. |
