EducationA. Edward Jones attended The Birmingham School of Art. EmploymentAlbert Edward Jones (1879-1954) was for a short period a Birmingham Guildsman. He established his own business in 1902, making slightly more commercial work than the Guild and becoming increasingly successful. In 1906 he opened workshops at 13 Windmill Street, Horse Fair, Birmingham, from where he advertised himself as an 'Art Silversmith'. Jones moved his business first to 111 Livery Street, Birmingham and then in 1918 to 27 Pemberton Street, Warstone Lane, Birmingham. The firm still manufactures, on a much larger scale, at premises in Pemberton Street.
