Biography for Albert Joseph Moore
MemberExhibited at the Royal Academy between 1857-1893. EmploymentMoore's early work is in the Pre-Raphaelite style, his later work and the style he is most associated with, is the Neo-Classical. His later paintings depict very carefully arranged figures, he was particularly interested colour and composition, rather than the theme or subject. He used a Greek anthemion (flower design) as a monogram and would incorporate it into a painting design.
