EmploymentGeorges Fouquet was a goldsmith and jeweller based in Paris. He joined his father in the family business in 1891, and took over the running of the company in 1895. Then in 1919 his own son Jean, the well-known modern designer, began to work for the company. Fouquet was linked with both the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. He is best known for his collaboration with the artist Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939), creating pieces of jewellery to Mucha's designs for the Bosnia-Hercegovina Pavilion at the 1900 World Fair, Paris.
